We live in a world that is caught up in an intense battle between a life built on truth, and an existence consumed with living out lies. Every aspect of our lives is a proverbial tug of war.
Spiritually, it’s a struggle between righteousness and unrighteousness, good versus evil. Politically, we struggle between a conservative viewpoint and more liberal ideas. On the table, we have a free capitalist market showing a stark contrast between the socialist and communist ideals that are rapidly gaining popularity in our country.
Economically, the pressure on small business has caused many to abandon their life’s work for their very survival. The working class clashes with the increasing demand for insatiable entitlement. Socially, the individual speaking the truth is canceled by the mainstream in an effort to remain “woke.”
On the front lines of this fight are our children and our grandchildren. These young, impressionable minds are being indoctrinated on every level to accept the lies of the enemy. They are being led to believe that there is no right and wrong, no absolute truth, just feelings. “You do you.” If it makes you feel good…do it.
How did this happen in America the beautiful? A land made free by the blood of our service men and women, washed with the tears of mothers and wives, sisters, and loved ones as flag-draped caskets were lowered into the ground. How did we forget their sacrifice and become so callous? How did a nation that was founded on Christian principles as one nation under God spend 200 years building her up on Christ the Cornerstone, and the last 50 years destroying her?
We chose to kick God out of our society. We kicked Him out of our schools and our government. We elected officials that serve other masters and have their own agendas. We kicked Him out of our homes, and in many cases…we have kicked Him out of our churches.
We chose to deny that it is He who created us and not we ourselves (Psalm 100:3). We have chosen to worship the creatures that He created on an altar of environmentalism, instead of worshipping the Creator. We chose to sacrifice a generation of American children in abortion clinics, rather than remember that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).
We chose to ignore that “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).” We chose to turn our own way, one bad decision at a time.
Today, we can choose to hack at the branches of the problem, debate the issues and policies, continue to point fingers…or we can open God’s Word and face the problem head-on. Look into the Word as a mirror of your soul, and ask God to speak to you, to reveal Himself. Become a part of the solution as you choose to shine God’s light, to follow His lead, to obey His word and live in His blessing. As a nation, we are racing towards trouble at every turn. But the Bible tells us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).”
2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us,“…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Today, we need Almighty God to heal our land. Our children and our grandchildren deserve better. They need God to heal our land before they are drowned in ideals that come from every direction except for God’s Word.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2,15, “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God. But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.”
The book of Deuteronomy is Moses’ final remarks to the nation God appointed him to lead. The generation he’s talking about in this book is not the same group he left Egypt with. That generation was buried in the wilderness. The generation that saw the parting of the Red Sea and ate manna that God provided while being covered with a cloud by day and warmed with fire by night. This group still complained and didn’t take God at His Word.
Moses has spent the last 40 years in the wilderness rather than the Promise Land. He knows he will not cross the Jordan. He will breathe his last breath on Mount Nebo. The message he is sharing with this younger generation… Don’t make the same mistakes your parents made. Learn from their choices. Do better.
Are you taking God’s goodness for granted? Are you listening to the socialist drivel that is constantly being repeated through the mainstream media in an attempt to indoctrinate your household? Are you putting your trust in other people and things? Or are you making a conscious decision to put your faith in God?
GOD SAYS THERE IS NO OTHER GOD BEFORE HIM. HE IS THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD. HE WILL NOT BE MOCKED, AND HE WILL NOT TOLERATE A NATION WHO PUTS ANY OTHER GOD BEFORE HIM.
The choice is ours. We can choose to be blessed, to live in freedom. Or we can choose to live a life filled with curses, sorrow, and bitterness. God knew you before the beginning of time. Your life has a divine purpose. Don’t ever think it’s too late to come back to Him, to find your purpose. Your life has meaning. Choose righteous and walk the path filled with life-changing blessings. The other path is far too painful, in both this life and the next.
